A distinguished businessman and one of the pioneers of tourism in the Maldives, Afeef has interests in 10 resorts as well as other businesses throughout the Maldives and internationally.

One of the founders of Crown Company, Afeef is also a shareholder of KASA holdings, a company that holds stake and plays a major role in the development of Addu International Airport in S.Gan. Afeef is also a shareholder of Champa Brothers, a family business and one of the largest operators in the Maldives operating in tourism sector and other diverse business areas.

Among his contributions to the Government and positions held include his service to the Economic Advisory Council to the President of Maldives as a member and is the Vice Chairman of the Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI).

Ahmed Saleem is an architect by training and the first qualified professional trained architect in the Maldives. One of the pioneers of the Maldives Tourism Industry, Saleem is one of the founders of Crown. Saleem’s initial works include designing Kudahithi and Boduhithi resorts, where ingenious local solutions were adopted to meet the design challenges in all aspects of his developments back in the day when resources were scarce.

Among his contributions in the field of architecture include the modification of the Maldives “open bathroom” concept in to the design features of resorts, a concept that has been adopted by many resorts in the Maldives today. Saleem’s substantial involvement in the design and build of ‘Ithaa Undersea Restaurant’, the first underwater restaurant in the Maldives is noteworthy.

Saleem was appointed by the President to the Airport Development Advisory Board and continues to serve on the Board.

A qualified engineer by training, specialized in mechanical and electrical design and installation in remote locations, Ghani has years of experience through his involvement in generator/panel board installation, motor winding, refrigeration and marine electrical in the first resorts developed in the Maldives prior to formation of Crown.

Among his notable contributions include his extensive involvement in setting up and establishing the first Vocational Training Centres (VTC) in the Maldives with the Manager of Male’ Power House, Mr Ahmed Adam, who also set up the first powerhouse in the Maldives. Ghani is one of the founders of Crown Company and a renowned proficient entrepreneur.
